Measuring the quality of laser beam has always been one of the critical challenges for optical specialists. Optical power, energy, beam profile, and pulse width are the characteristics that need to be measured and monitored carefully. To answer this need in the industry, medicine, and research labs, ASHA Beam Profile has designed and manufactured an extensive selection of instruments for measuring the properties of light. These products contain three sections, including power meter, beam profiler, and light detectors.

The semiconductor power meter sensor is designed and manufactured to measure the optical power of light sources accurately. These power meters measure the absorbed photons by a calibrated semiconductor sensor. To ensure accurate measurements, the calibration data is stored in the sensor and is downloaded automatically to the connected power meter console.

Thermal Power Meters

Thermal Power Meters

Thermal Power Sensors are able to detect the optical power of high power sources such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs), filament lamps, and lasers. The Thermoelectric-based sensors, special broadband coatings and low dependency on the angle make these power meters ideal choices for measuring broadband spectra and high power sources. According to the theory of thermoelectric which is based on heat flux, external thermal disturbances can affect thermal power sensor readings so environmental conditions like temperature and airflow should follow the mentioned conditions in the user manual.
